Always liked those pictures of exotic wood body tops! Heres my flamed maple:

I've had these 21" scale bass uke modified with veneer to the tops, done by Pat Wilkins. The first one is cherry but the photo doesn't show the grain well. Next is Burma burl, in the works, then flame maple next in line, last is a custom all solid figured walnut with a satin finish. (The sound holes on the first three are fake stick-ons.)

Unfortunately I don't have any solid-body basses wtih fancy tops. In the best traditions of hollow bodies, the tops are plain spruce and the fancy grains are reserved for the backs:

First one is spalted tamarind with epoxy and the second is the ever hard to photograph purple heart. I wish a photograph would do it justice.
