That, good sir, is an old Frankenbass my gramps picked up in the early 60's. He swears up and down it's a Fender, but several other TBers here brought to my attention some glaring inconsistencies, and I've verified that it is not in fact a Fender. Body's too small, bridge is unlike any I've ever seen, control plate is off, etc. etc.

It used to be spraypainted black, but I stripped the finish off and rebuilt it from the ground up with all new electronics. I was shocked and amazed to discover it was a mahogany bass.
