That's a tough question. There's nothing on my board that I don't like. I think the weakest link at the moment is the Caline 10 band EQ. It's not a well made unit, but it's small, cheap and compact. The Zoom MS-70CDR is an amazing box of tricks and saves a lot of board space (It saves me about 3-4 pedals in that one modelling box). The TCe Corona Chorus is a great sound for me. I'm not into heavy chorus sounds, and I have a few models on my zoom to choose from if I need THAT sound. But this TCe is light and shimmery on the top end. If I stack some dirt with it, it makes a great synth sound. The MXR El Grande is a Muff variant and for high gain solos, this thing rocks. It's a one trick horse but that one trick is great. The Dam Ezekiel clone is an amazing fuzz / OD pedal. It's essentially another Muff circuit but with a bend control and a 4 way clipping rotary switch to change the type of clipping. Silicon, LED, Germ or Op am clipping. So it really has a very expansive range of tones and grit style. I seem to be running backwards though my pedals...sorry. My Wampler Euphoria / ecstasy clone is another favorite dirt box. It's got a three way cliping switch and active bass and treble controls. If you want a great and versatile OD pedal, this is one is great. The Joyo Anerican Sound, it's a clone of another pedal and it's got a baked in 50's Fender tone to it....which is just great. The break up and grit is awesome and it's a really cheap pedal. I'm using a 5 knob variant of the Woolly Mammoth pedal, this one I built myself. It's a gated fuzz and it's just great as the dirt component to ambient pad sounds. At the low end it's great for that Black strobe "I'm a man" sound. My Barbershop clone is a great 1st stage OD. Some times I use it to could my tone or just add a mid / glassy sound. it's a very low grit pedal...but the output volume control is great for hitting other dirt pedals hard. If I use my MXR OD in front I get a really nice heavy OD sound. My three MXR pedals work really well together. My octaver, OD and filter make a really nice funky three some. They make great sounds in their own right but combined they are awesome too. The OD pedal is the weakest, it's a great sounding pedal but it's not dynamic at all and there's no blend control. Then the next three pedals are my input stage. Right to left: Tuner first which is in bypass mode, so it's always on and showing my tuning. I use this a lot with my fretless so I can check my intonation. Then my uber simple compressor. It's got three types / tones and it's just one know for compression and one for gain. It's simple and it just works. Then my MXR Bass Pre amp. It's a three band EQ with semi Parametric mids. The Q in the mids is perfect. Plus it's got a pre and post volume stage. So it's great for adjusting volumes between different basses. it's got a great DI, which I hardly ever use. If I need to I'll swap the Caline EQ around so this is on the end of my chain. So that's my board. I'm thinking of taking the first three pedals off the board and making a small floor board for them with an added looper and volume pedal. Making more room on my main board which I have on top of my amp around waist height for easy adjustments and knob twiddling.
