Great pedal board! Some of your pedals are unfamiliar to me especially that top left one.
That's the cleanest OC-2 I have ever seen. Take that thing outside for a walk and let people hear it every once in awhile.
Some knobs are spun, but this is what I've been gigging with for funk. I have the TH and TLC on most of the time.
Yes, often. I like the MXR OD into the Barbershop. That makes a really nice heavy OD / fuzz sound. Or I use the Barbershop as a 1st stage and use the output volume to spank the next OD/fuzz pedal, it can be used as clean or dirty boost (and it's got some serious boost to it). Sometimes I like to use the Barbershop and a straight 1st stage OD and then feed it into the next one but keeping the gain at unit so just the characters build up. My Ashdown Rootmaster amp has a built in OD circuit and it's pretty clinical and naff sounding, until I have the Barbershop in front of it. I can saturate the preamp, causing it to clip and then add the drive knob on the amp to add a 3rd stage. The three make a really heavy but very nice dirty bass sound. By it's self, the barbershop is a very transparent and mild grit overdrive pedal. But it's sag control adds a lot of character and the volume control is very potent. It's taken me a while to really understand this pedal and where to put it in my chain and how it works best for me.
I've never had that problem. I use an active circuit in all of my basses which I think helps a lot. I use really good quality cables and interconnects and every pedal on my board is a true bypass. Most of my pedals have output volumes so I can buffer and boost as much as I like between stages. At any one time, I'll have a max of 4 pedals on and all the others are in bypass mode. All of my pedals are of good quality and I have zero issues with compatibility or weird power requirements. If you think about it...this signal path in bypass is only a bit less than a 2m cable and I'm not interested in pedals with silly 12/18v power requirements or have dodgy earthing issues. If it won't power with a one spot or it won't play well with other pedals...i'm not interested.
GMC is right. I bought a custom sized pedalboard with a riser and within a couple years I needed a different size... Then I downsized, sold the pedalboard, but kept the two risers, screwed one to the underside of the other, slid a power brick in the gap and whalla! - the perfect size for a small strip of the essentials. Will I ever go big again? I hope not, but isnt it just inevitable? (Sigh.)
Yes, you are using George'LS Cable. I love them. The first time i tried these Cables I couldn't believe that a cable could effect my sound that much.

I love the microtubes or other darkglass pedals. I think I will get one of these. I never tried Aguilar Pedals. Do you like them?
I think @GMC makes great points, and I also believe a MS-60B or similar zoom product is a great space saver and multi tool for multiple effects. IMO, best utilized with a Boss LS-2 to take it in and out of your chain to allow you to chain effects.

The Broughton is indeed from Josh. It's his azure drive which is a wonderful OD. I do use all of these pedals, but not all at the same time of course. I love OD's and like to have the ability to stack them to create heavier sounds. Some sound diff than others, so it's nice to have a few choices. I use the H9's for all of my reverb, delay, and modulation type sounds( chorus, phaser, flange..etc) there's a couple of loop pedals on there so I can include/exclude most of these pedals in the signal chain. If I turn off all of the loops my signal basically goes bass- tuner- clean boost- T16 octaver- comp- amp.
The pedal in the lower left corner is a midi controller I use to control both H9's. For funky songs I can use the fwonkbeta or the dirty robot.
Everything is on isolated power via an ISO brick and a PP2+.
The board is dead quiet

Rodrigues, I love the Aguilar stuff. I've used a couple preamp/di in the past and the tonehammer is by far my favorite. It covers everything from a very direct sound, to a very amp-like sound. The agro is cool too. Most of the videos you see on it have the gain cranked, which I never use like that. It's great for subtle overdrive and does both modern and lo-fi/blown speaker type distortions well. I just got the darkglass recently, but they are different enough that I'll keep both.
