So...i happen to be trolling CL and happen to click on the right add that didnt even list a bass for sale...but had one way down at the bottom.
Long story (not really) short...apparently the bass was built to true J specs by a guy who worked for a local music shop that shut down a few years back. Current owner bought it new and played the hell out of it. Kept it in great shape...minus a few finish blemishes.
KILLER action...sounds mean as hell. Pulled it apart. Bart pickups...and a Seymour Duncan preamp. No idea what model...I know nothing about the SD stuff....so any words on them would be nice.
Anyway...after picking it up WITH a nice thick double strap gig bag...total cost came to....$150. i suppose $10 more if you count gas to drive there. =D
