Show off your bass room

Yes we all need cats to ward off potential thieves. I have a 20+ lbs Rag Doll cat that you wouldn't want to mess with. ;)

I hear you. I was a day late to NAMM setup last year because my 20... almost 21 year-old Maine Coon (Minx) passed away. At the height of her power she was an intimidating 30lbs. Like a cannonball and she was fierce.

Always a baby doll with me, but no one else better come near her or she'd growl like a dog. It was pretty classic.

My basses were always safe with her. Ragdolls are an awesome breed! Lucky you!

Don't all those Strats get in the way of playing pool? :D

Now how could you miss my Teles, too?... :crying:

But to answer your question - yes. Of course, the solution is to jam first, then if there is any energy (or beer) left, a billiards game or two... If that's the case, then it's "Everybody move the Strats (and Teles) to the closet!"

That is SO sad. I'm so sorry. :( Maine Coons are very cool. My daughter has always wanted one.

I'm going to go give my cat a hug now...

I used to have an great gear filled room.

I had a Fender Deville Deluxe 2x12 all-tube combo amp for guitar, an Ampeg B200R 1x15 tube pre-amp combo for bass and a Gretsch Catalina Birch sunburst 5-piece drum set with Sabian AA/Zildjian A series cymbals, pro hardware all around. I owned a Fender Telecaster (korean, very nice), a Highway 1 Jazz bass, and a Gibson SG. This was the only time that I had the big 3 all at once (bass, guitar and drums). I've since sold or traded literally everything.

I have no regrets, now that I think of it, I've owned a lot of gear for someone my age.

But anyways, that was my gear room at it's fullest. "Entry-level-pro" gear is what I liked to call it.

Once I get my bass situation in order at the end of the month, I might consider putting together a small drum set again. Maybe another 5 piece. 2 up, 1 down. I'm thinking an All maple Conaway custom kit. :D Oh yeah.

Nice drum set. What kind of kick pedal do you use?

That's my fourteen year-old son's set, a '91 Premier XPK in Sapphire Blue, with a Gibraltar rack and Zildjian cymbals. I'm thinking the pedal is a DW 3000 double-kick, but it may be a 5000. The set was actually purchased as a 9-piece (double bass, 4 rack toms, 2 floor toms) but when he first started, all those skins were too much of a distraction, so the other four are in storage.

Paid $400 on CL. :D
