Show off your rig!

I like your cabinets - but one question. "9 month of sky" I need help with this one.

thanks

Ha! Good eye. It is actually a band I used to play for that I am no longer with. It was a shout out to our Japanese fans. The lead guitarist and I wrote a significant amount of material for the band's third album only to be "let go" after we recorded the album. I really should get rid of that cabinet as there is a lot of bad blood still associated with that band. It's a long negative story that I really am glad to have in the rear view mirror.

Here are the new cabinets

This is my last piece of Trace Elliot history. Nothing else like it & weighs as much as a 4x10!!!View attachment 3006147
Never actually got a chance to play through one. What did they sound like? I was always unsure as to what the design was exactly about. I have some ideas, but I wonder what it really ended up changing. Tell me more?

80 watt 1x10 in a folded horn cabinet. Weighs at least 60 lbs! All Trace Elliot tone. The folded cabinet seems to give it a woody tone up close. I played a coffee house gig with it once. I had both levels up pretty high & it got pretty hot, so I never took it out again. It filled the room very nicely with Trace Elliot tone. So a lot low on power compared to now when you could a similar size 200 watt combo that weighs 25-35 lbs. It's my home practice rig now. I love it. They made some @ 130 watts that had an ext speaker out and a tweeter. Tom Bolus posted a pic of his w/ a 1158 1x15 Trace cabinet. I've also seen a 10" front loaded extension cabinet for it. They came in the green fur later on. They had some really great bass gear. I doubt we'll see another mfg with so many options for bass players.

Thanks for asking about it!

Cheers
