That JVC receiver has a nice graphic EQ display too. It helps when you are mixing down to keep nice even levels. Plus it has a tape deck that I used to record rough mixes and then play the tape through an old crappy boom box. That was my pre-test before burning copies. If a tape cassette sounded good on that junky boom box it should sound good on any system.
