Martin making a statement about refining his vision. When I picked up my bass a while back he mentioned he’d been thinking about doing this. Happy for him achieving it!
Sigh….my old bass. I hated letting that one go. Someone buy that brilliant bass

Look at the blind fret slots! 
Good question! I’m not sure yet. Martin said finish (oil) should go on next week. I’ll head up to fetch it from him when it’s ready
Ah! I realize that Martin and I had talked about this…it is at the heal…and fairly hidden
My two basses have the truss rod adjustment at the headstock. Is the decision to have the nut at the headstock or the heel dependent on any particular design decisions related to the particular instrument?
You’d have to ask Martin, but I assume it’s just a decision that he made for the headless basses that he’s making

Heading to see Martin on Monday to pick up the new headless bass. Excited to see my friend Martin, and excited to see what he’s cooked up for me!
The new bass is strung up and all but finished....two more days and I'll have it in my hands....very, very excited!

I have a 33” scale semi hollow from Martin. One of the early ones. It’s magical.
Martin’s basses are custom, so you can decide what you want with any of his basses
