Martin making a statement about refining his vision. When I picked up my bass a while back he mentioned he’d been thinking about doing this. Happy for him achieving it!
 
My two basses have the truss rod adjustment at the headstock. Is the decision to have the nut at the headstock or the heel dependent on any particular design decisions related to the particular instrument?
You’d have to ask Martin, but I assume it’s just a decision that he made for the headless basses that he’s making

Just discovered these basses through this thread! The hollow looks awesome! Does anybody have sound samples? And the scale length? Thanks!
I have a 33” scale semi hollow from Martin. One of the early ones. It’s magical.

Martin’s basses are custom, so you can decide what you want with any of his basses
