Mattel just released a Ziggy Stardust 50th anniversary Barbie. Kinda odd. Kinda weird. Do any of you collect space oddities like this?

I can’t say I’m a collector. But, I did go to the post office and buy the Jimi Hendrix stamps a few years ago.

What sorts of odd Rock memorabilia do you have in the attic?

Those are actual tickets for those shows. Bill Graham used the poster printed on the tickets from '66 to '71 for Fillmore/Fillmore West/&Winterland in SF.
As I said Harry Nilsson was himself a bit odd. That was to be his cover for his unfinished final album. Unfortunately he passed away before completing it. My late wife used to say to him "Harry yer a bit odd" with her thick Irish accent. Guess you had to be there. But it was meant to freak you out. Or at least get your attention.

Yes, I remember when I could afford to go to concerts. Saw quite a few acts at Winterland in San Francisco.

But does it include the Patti Smith band aid poem insert?

I have some odds and ends around. I have a card from Patti Smith's mother somewhere, and a Christmas card from Moe Tucker. A copy of Lester Bangs's "Let It Blurt" single signed by Robert Quine. A Dictators single signed by the band at a poorly promoted (and therefore poorly attended) club show in New London, CT. If it doesn't have to be something tangible, I have email from David Thomas explaining a usually misheard lyric from "Sonic Reducer" and his original reason for it. Some CDs in limited release packaging, like Velvet Underground MCMXCIII in a puffy digipack with a bunch of removable bananas on it, and Reed and Cale's Songs for Drella in a black velvet covered digipack. Ramones Leave Home LP with "Carbona Not Glue" on it. Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt's Oblique Strategies cards. Stuff like that.

I never would categorize Todd as a hippie; progenitor of Power Pop, godfather of Glam, seer of synthesis, perhaps.

Through Laurie Anderson’s Ebay store of Lou’s equipment, I won an auction for a Cioks power supply, with COA. I put a Warhol banana sticker on it, just to keep track. I bid on, but did not win, a small, well-used road case that had “Sister Ray Productions” stenciled on it. How cool would that have been?

Van Morrison is coming here in Oct and tickets were $350. They were sold out in a matter of hours. I saw Van once with Them and once solo and never paid more than $3.50. Btw my parents were from Wauwatosa.

That is a Artisi's proof for the first show after Sublime reformed after Bradley's passing.
My nextdoor neighbor's best friend was Eric Wilson's personal assistant and gave it to my neighbor who gave it to my daughter. I had no clue who Sublime was.
BTW Sublime With Rome has just gone on tour.
So am I just like your Cool Uncle or what?
