Rob syays it's possibly the lightest Mb2 he's made. Also, the walnut neck is so nice he chose not to use the black grain filler. He's made me a rail too out of the same piece of walnut used for the neck. I'm absolutely thrilled by it and a gentleman to boot.Now that damn wait...

Very interesting. Did he quote you on a weight? The MB2 is light enough as is.
Not yet - he was about to weight it for shipping purposes. I'll ask when I mail him following delivery. Nostatic saw it on Rob's wall last week - said it's a stunner...

Walnut top with f-hole, walnut neck (nicest Rob's seen apparently), black hardware. Also, the body is apparently particularly nice also - very swirly pattern to the grain. Thumb rail to be added and made from the same piece of walnut as the neck. Other than the walnut neck and black hardware, everything is 'standard'. However, i think (although I'm only guessing) that Rob might have been generous as I managed to have a short review of the Mouse he made me published in BassGuitarMagazine last October. He's too much of a gentleman to mention if he has 'upgraded' me but I can't help but think he has as it is an exceptional beauty.

He might have. I have a Deep 4 on order but nothing has been picked out yet. Rob said he'll contact me to select a top but not sure how far off that will be. I believe he's making up the necks now.

It'll be worth the wait for you - we all know that! I'm considering a Deep 4 next but the cost is a factor due to the exchange rate and import taxes etc..

I'm sure they're equals!!!! I think Rob likes walnut necks - no black grain filler on mine though. Yours?WOW Longrange... I can't add anything, but just HAVE to say the same as the other guys here: That is one sweet MB-2
My Mouse has a walnut neck, and it sounds great. Seems to darken the tone bit IMO.
I got sniped bidding on a fretted MB-2 that had a walnut neck.
Interested to see your reaction when you open the case. I'm looking forward to getting the call from Rob on my Deep 5. At least I don't have to wait for the brown truck when it happens. But with my luck I'll be out of town on biz
