Did the fretted Mouse have tapewound or nickel/steel strings? I've always wondered how frets would be on a Mouse. I've got a fretless due in June and would love to try a fretted.

It had tapewounds. Rob said you can put roundwounds on, but frankly I thought the tapes sounded sick when slapped. Kind of like a P-bass but with a serious dose of wood and a little piezo treble zing. Funny because I remember not really caring for the fretted MB-2 sound. I think the Mouse scale balances the piezo factor and it just works, at least for my ears.

It is probably not for everyone though - if you like a J-bass slapped tone then it likely isn't for you. But I dug it heavily...and the bass felt like I was holding/playing my Grosh Electrajet guitar :D

Soft market at the moment. Not much action on my Sadowsky PJ. If you want a quick sale around $1500 would probably make that happen. If you want more, you'll just need to be patient. RAs are not a mainstream bass, so it is a case of the right buyer finding the right seller.
