my p lyte. been modded with duncan qp's. great sounding bass, but honestly, i should have gotten black since i don't think white looks good on me. my wife says i'm a winter and i should play darker basses. plus there is the stigma of playing a bass with "lyte" on the headstock. but whatever...nobody complains...

Okay, I don't normally drop my drawers like this, but I have a serious weakness (fetish?) for white basses and guitars.

Parts Jazz with Am. Standard pickups and Allparts neck, Fender P-Bass Special, Hofner Icon, Fender P-Bass Special Deluxe (Active), Rickenbacker 4003, Eastwood Classic 4, Fender Jaguar, and Yamaha RBX Fretless.

These all get used on stage or in studio with regularity, depending on my mood and what sonic qualities I need.

Hello ladies and gentlemen of Talk Bass, new member here. I have been lurking for a while and really enjoy this site. When I saw this thread, I finally had to join as a member! My main bass is a satin white Carvin B4 that I built from a kit. I paid for the body to be painted at the factory. The only choices were satin black or white. I have owned many black guitars and basses throughout the years, so went with white and love it.

That is Gibson's "classic white" which is definatly on the creamy side and turns more yellow as it ages - underneath the PG it's a bit lighter color still. Epiphone's have been made in Alpine White, might be more what you're after.
The backside of mine has some nice, honest mojo and it's turning a pinkish color too.

Mine is olympic white, which has yellowed with age.
