Hey man, im young'n, only 16, so i can carry the CA6 no problem! ;)

Id really like something lighter, but this sounds pretty sick, and college savings are more imperative currently than buying the Walter woods id like, or another sick light amp. Oh well!

Yeah, I'm 27 and I'm just tired of carrying that stuff. Where in Mass are you?

Listen, I was going to get a Woods. I've always wanted one of the newer electrocoustic ones. You have to try a Glockenklang Soul Top before you ever spend the money on a Woods. I've officially been cured of my need for a Woods by getting the Glockenklang. Oh, and it's cheaper.

Yup thats an Elrick alright! I love the thing to death. To buy all this gear i worked all summer, but it was a major goal to buy this for the past year, so i made the decision to break the bank. I have always been pretty good at saving money though. :)

I Live in Middleton BTW. nice small town.

From what I hear, the Crest CA* series are the amps to have for great, solid bass tone.

Walter who?

i'm thinking about getting a bassman 100 amp from the guitar center here in NC.

i was at the GC the other day, and just was blown away by the power that thing had, and it was a combo amp!

so, any help? cuz i'm upgrading from a 'frontman 15'....which...blows.

thanks!

I used the Bassman 100 while trying out SEVERAL basses at the local sound shop. I must say, that thing ROCKS!!! It's great for small venues and jam sessions. I love all of the features. The only thing, a new Bassman 100 costs about the same as an Avatar 112 cab and used mid-power (300-400 watts) head. I seriously considered getting the Bassman 100 until I was introduced to used gear. If you are pretty adamant with getting a combo though, you should give the Peavey Combo 115 a try. It's cheaper, has way more features, more power, and room to add an additional cab. And in my opinion, the sound quality from the Peavey is a bit better.

heres what i play most of the time, except for smaller things where only my swr workingmans 12 is needed. i just bought the aphex 204 (if you can see it through the flash) today at guitar center on closeout for 175 rather than the 300 that they used to sell for, i havent really had time to tweak it yet though.

- furman pl-plus
- korg dtr-2
- tech 21 sansamp rbi
- aphex 204
- qsc rmx 1450
- avatar 210 and avatar 212
- kawai F2B 110KS (poor mans alembic)

Its been awhile since I've posted on here. I don't have a big professional rig like everyone else But since I last posted here has been my rig.

Genz Benz GBE 600->Genz Benz 6x10
GK 1001RB-II->Ampeg 1x10
GK 1001RB-II->GK 115RBH
GK 1001RB-II->Hartke 410XL

and in a couple of weeks, I'll finally be set upon an Ampeg 6x10.

And once I am finished with my rig, it will look something like:

Nady UHF-10->Ernie Ball VP JR-> Sansamp BDDI->Boss NS2->Boss CS3->Boss GEB7->Boss ODB3->Boss CEB3->GK1001RB-II->Ampeg SVT 610HLF

Crummy pic of my B212, Mag300 and RBX775. :bassist:
