Not quite.

The SB-1000 is 1 3/4" wide at the nut, string spacing at the bridge is 16mm. Yes, that's right. 16mm. It fells tight, but not unmanageably so.

The Elite-II is 1 5/8" at the nut, string spacing at bridge is 17mm.

Seller didn't know what the model was, so maybe it slipped through any saved searches you have, and didn't provide the best of pictures. But they had decent feedback and were responsive to questions, so I felt confident going ahead with it. It's actually in better condition than my SB-1000, which when I bought it had been sitting in someones closet for 15 years.

They don't come up that often. When they do, depending on condition, color etc they go anywhere between $400 and $700 from what I've seen

Ouch. Maybe I'll keep an eye out for one in a year or two.

I finally took some pics so I could put it in the classifieds. After so many years of Spectors, I can't get comfortable with an Explorer body. The two pickup Arias *are* great, but IMO the SB-1000 is more unique sounding - I can't think of another bass that sounds like it.

Which is exactly why I am always perplexed when I see one on the Bay that has been modded.

I only bid on the first auction. I got an email giving me a second chance to buy it. I paid $680 for it.
