Show your Ashdown

ABM 500, Mesa Powerhouse 610, J-Bass and my own bad self ;)

So the question that seems to be begging is...does anyone actually have an Ashdown Classic amp, cab or combo, or have seen it in shops? I'm quite interested in the 210 combo, although looking at the specs of it just now I see that there's not a whole lot of weight difference between the classic and the ABM....hmmmm....

So I don't have a pic yet,but I have a Five Fifteen combo for about 5 years now,and it's great. Nice sound, and enough power for practicing with the band. But for bigger stages I intend to switch my Peavey tour 450 to an Ashdown ABM EVO II (the 500 watt version) paired with a little Ampeg cab,the SVT-12 HE. What do you think, would it be a good combination? Would it be a mixture of Ashdown, and Ampeg tone? :)

Umm... i got my MAG300r into a MAG 410 deep cab.
also got the ashdown envelope filter.
you just gotta love that ashdown sound.:hyper::hyper::hyper:
im about to get me an ABM210 cab to go under the 410

haha, just noticed my finger was in the shot of the pedals

Thought I'd get in on the action and show my gear. The 410 cab is very rare in that it is covered in white and has no serial number on the back plate. This is because it was built for The Manic Street Preachers for a video shoot (A Design For Life?) where they had an all white stage, white suits white guitars etc. I bought an ABM500 as an ex demo, missing a knob and with the Mute LED not working. I called Ashdown regarding a fix, and they sent me a brand new amp in exchange! The Superfly inflicted damage to Mr Visa because it was sooo cheap on closeout-I just need a couple of 4 ohm cabs to get the best from it now!

Hopefully the link works

Superfly

Superfly with (2) Yamaha BBT110s and Workingman 10 with Avatar Neo. Line out from the Superfly to the effects return on the Workingman

Purchased this head on a whim from a talkbass member for $175.00. I had sold my LMII and GS112's and had the yamaha cabs. Pleasantly surprised on the sounds that I get out of this rig and really happy with the acquisition. Have my spare laptop plugged into it and this gives the amp a whole extra dimension. Looking for a MIDI pedal next :)
