That's a beauty! That neck, ooo-la-la! I wonder if it can be dated by the rings in the thumb wear?

Shared from the same thread - always wondered about the black hs decals and judging by this detailed pic, the black lettering is actually there! I always thought they just left it off.

This is my Fender avri '57 Precision bass built in 1988, note the factory decal is in the wrong spot.
She's getting nicely distressed.
I replaced the pickguard for a black bakelite one just to change it up a bit, still have the the anodised gold.

I've seen them a few times...always a good show. I think I've posted the CAR Special of his on here as well but I'd have to dig through. He was using a burst and rosewood one last time I saw them. He does have some cool old basses.
Here's my Grabber again, sporting a few more knocks and scratches from my most recent gigs. And that sexy BF cab as well.
My parts Precision with a new neck on it. Neck was finished by MJT. It feels rock solid!
After contemplating this idea I called him today and talked for awhile....

Bass first, as it is tb, but as my examples to start the thread included guitars...
A couple that came in at Dave's in LaX, WI. I had a fretless like this one and I really want to go get it.
81 Hondo 830 Deluxe P I salvaged from a pawn shop recently. Not super distressed but she's broken in like an old baseball glove. Neck feels great.
