When I got my much played '66 P 5 years ago - I chose to remove such grime. It wasn't that bad and it didn't smell like nicotine - but there's a point where I draw the line. (usually where I'll be physically interfacing with it)

That's real purdy - always liked the finish that most people hate - I'd seek one out but I know it would weigh 13lbs.

My 72 P bass neck that I’ve aged naturally over the last 40+ years, now living on a body that is not nearly as old. The anodized pg is new, still on the fence between this and a torte. I think I just need to dull this down a bit. I still have the 72 body but it’s a long story.
I still have it, it’s a really heavy body. When I got it 40+ years ago it had been heavily modded by the previous owner. I had decided that I wanted to bring it back to a traditional P configuration which was going really well as you can see in these pics, unfortunately The fill in the areas have now cracked very badly. I suppose I could actually go to town on it and make it distressed now...
Has anyone owned a reliced/non-reliced bass by John Kallas? Tempted to start saving to get one of his basses.
