You can tell it was actually played a lot - some of the plating worn on the rear pickguard revealing the brass underneath:

Also note the pickup polepiece adjustments - much like on the Hagstrom/Guild Bi-Sonics with a screw operating a lever below.
The front gold guard is anodized aluminum like on a late 50's P-bass.

I've heard that from every player who owns one. I played one in a music store and was impressed. I'd own one but I already have a few awesome J's.

JIO - I got it and liked the body and tone - but did not like the maple board - so I have the Highway neck and decided to put on - best decision I have made with that bass. Thanks

I wondered where that came from... I think Siri is really annoying and wish it wasn't on my newish MacBook Pro. I'll be typing and for whatever reason it will pop up asking if I need help. I always say "f-you!" and "it" responds "I won't respond to that" ... which is exactly what it did. I gotta find out how to pull the plug on it.

Completely agree with this frustration. It was annoying enough when Siri would pop up on my watch, but with my new laptop it will pop up anytime I utter anything close to Siri. There has to be a way to switch that off.

Apparently, there has been a photo discovered of Dave was spotted with our beloved yet mauled 66 jazz. Wear marks, sticker and foam mute all similar to the Lake Placid Blue 66 Jazz shown earlier in the thread. There has been much speculation around the authenticity of this photo as Dave was apparently shot multiple times in 1954 and was believed to have been dead. However, his body was never recovered leaving some to speculate, "Did Dave survive only to later take up playing bass?" The jury is still out as there have been no more mauled bodies found near the Black Lagoon, but we have seen in increase in mauled basses over the years.

It's lucky that creative people (and creatures) have something positive to occupy themselves. I've known a lot of artists/musicians who would probably be in jail if they didn't have a productive vent...
