My P bass from pages 79 and 80 (SHOW YOUR DISTRESSED FINISHES!)
Almost 3 years after, the wear is advancing nicely. Too bad I don't have a back photo, but the wear is much more pronounced there too.

It's a different pickguard - Spitfire. Just got it this week. It was custom ordered with aged/yellowed edges.

It's a nice one - the yellowing will wear-off where you interface with it. It's some sort of paint, or at least it was on mine. Looks good either way. :thumbsup:
 
Indeed . And honestly, I wouldn't even mind the shape if I didn't know that it came from a 1965 Precision. If someone scratch built that, I would think it was just fine looking. Not my favorite, but not hideous.
