SHOW YOUR DISTRESSED FINISHES!

Those are both nice! The first seems like it's maybe a pearl finish?!? It looks metallic in a couple of shots. I like those.

I noticed that - that '74 J sold since I posted pics of it. It was a good price and I have a friend in Madison that could have picked it up to avoid shipping costs. :(

So... you found it? :) Good for you Ivan! I can personally attest that a '66 P is indeed a magic bass! :bassist: Are you and your brother Damion still playing together? I so wish I could attend one of your performances - just watching those (now old!) vids just makes me happy. Consider me one of your biggest fans!

They're really quite wonderful basses! And yes we are, so glad you still love those videos, can't go wrong with the classic songs!

Oh man, oh man, that red one! That's sexy.

It inspires me to do an ergonomically interfacing T-bird that doesn't neck-dive... oh wait.., I did that years ago - (sorry for the non-distressed content...)

AND MFDs!
Killer.
I bet it sounds huge.

It does. It's my go-to fretless. Has a G&L L2000 9v harness also - sonically a G&L L2000 fretless... but with the awesome Kubicki Ex-Factor drop-D medium scale neck. It's currently strung BEAD. (low A with the capo off) :bassist: I'll be using it on a recording in February.

'64 Burns of London Bison bass. Having read some BoL history, they had problems with their early poly finishes and the way the paint is coming off in pieces so cleanly is a possible indication of this. Similar to issues with '70s CBS/Fender poly finishes. There were later re-issues of the Bison, but an original like this one is the bomb.
