Here's one for God's Favorite Bass. Not a bass but cool wore sparkle. I suspect it's a reissue judging by the fretboard and hardware.

Very nice '66 Oly White J sporting a Dec '65 neck with pops. (assembled and shipped in early '66 - a transitional Fender/CBS J)

And yes, I know.., not a bass... but found this '66 vintage Mustang guitar interesting. Body looks to be made of poplar based on the colouration - wasn't aware Fender used poplar. (my same era Dano/Silvertone/Coral basses are made of poplar)

But the second interesting thing is the back was protected by a Fender 'Body-Guard' by Parker, so is in "like new" condition!

I wonder if they were trying to do ‘tribute’ to Tommy Shannon’s White Jazz? I think the Xotic is cool, but would be cooler with distressed hardware…

Judging from the player wear this bass looks like it was owned by Guy Pratt.
