Yah, I agree. Particularly because most cheap J harnesses incorporate them. And just imagine how much an original set of '62 knobs would set you back! But frankly, I don't know how you could confirm they were actual Jazz bass knobs made in 1962 anyway. Many yeas ago I bought what I was told was a 1960 Jazz bass bridge for a fair price. I got it for my '66 P-bass that had a (non-original) '70s slotted bridge on it when I bought it. All things considered, that same bridge was made from '60-'68 installed on both J's & P's so I really didn't care if it was a '60 Jazz bridge or not - all I cared was that it was the same bridge that came on a '66 Fender bass.
Speaking of which - the bridge on that '62 isn't original, maybe not even a Fender bridge.
The bass had a couple of different bridges on it over the years, one larger that you can see the impression. Also revealed the more magenta red covered by the bridge faded to a warmer red on either side.
