T-310UL is the actual model number. Somehow everybody just started writing down these cabs in short hand here. My UL112 cabs say T-112UL on the back.

edit: Of course, we expect to see pics of your rig now since this is the "show your epifani setups" thread...;)

When there's two of them there's plenty of the whole spectrum coming through but there's still a remnant of harshness that I can't seem to dial out
hmmm... the Bergs being more harsh then the Epi's?
Most say the Bergs are smoother, more polite then the Epi's, which have a cutting treble response.

As promised, here is a pic. Not sure what to make of it. Definitely sounds good, and definitely loud. I have had to mess with my treble controls a bit more than usual, and I turned the attenuator about halfway left of center.

NICE! The M2000 may be the only amp I've sold that I actually miss... GREAT sounding head.. too many knobs, sliders, switched, etc..... but if you just mix the tube and SS pre's together and ignore all that stuff, it sounds killer!!!!

Quad's got one F/S right now at a great deal. I'm telling myself repeatedly I DON'T need it, as like you, it's really the only head I go back and say "Man, I really wish I had that still!"

Yeah, I'm definitely done with the M2000 (since I bought the Thunderfunk with the proceeds)... but, it was SO well made, and sounded very nice. I actually bought the MPulse600 after the M2000 was sold, thinking it might be a simpler M2000... but totally different. The M2000 is just beautifully made though.. the pots feel very high quality and smooth, all the switches are the metal baseball bat type, and that head has some serious low end ooomph. The only thing I didn't like about it was that the SS pre was very dull sounding.... and was too bright with the bright switch engaged. But, very nice in every other respect!

Nice Epi cab (and basses).


You know, I've always dug the looks of those Berg cabs with the metal grills. I gotta try some of those one day.

Yeah, its a fun head. Something I have always wanted to try, and the day after Christmas I hit up a GC with my brother and there it was, it was missing the light jewel, and a couple of the sliders on the graphic EQ needed to be replaced, but it was only $500! I ordered the replacement parts from Mesa shortly after and after opening up the case and realizing it wasn't a job I could do myself, I kinda set it aside. It still functioned find, I just wasn't using the graphic EQ's.

I was talking to my new neighbor this weekend and it turns out he makes his own pedals. I asked him if he thought he could do the repair on my amp, and an hour later (half of that time was unscrewing the zillion screws on the case) its back to mint.

To keep the amp managable, I don't use the bright switch or compressor. I have the mix channel about 75/25 tube/fet. I have the tube graphic set with scooped mids and the fet graphic with raised mids. Usually just play it flat with the treble down a bit.

Its a really neat amp. I would really like a Thunderfunk though, I miss the 420 I had, and hope I can acquire another one soon, but I may have to sell the Mesa to get it. If only I could afford to keep both.

really bummed i didnt take a pic, but i must have crammed my UL112 and Focus head into the smallest possible stage ever. the hallway that lead the club was literally made for leprechauns, and the stage even so. nevermind that i had to literally fit the cab underneath the seat i was sitting on, while the 6'4" singer literally stood towering over me.

but again, with the tweeter down to about 9:00, and my lakland bob glaub fitted w/ flats, i was getting some mighty sweet old school motowny tones. :cool:

Aw man, I got a mental pic of that.:p

My Focus is been doing enough to keep most of my GAS at bay. I haven't done anything crazy just yet. Think I'll go play.
