Here's my Yamaha TRB 6II converted to fretless by The Bass Centre, London. I heard Marco Mendoza on "Screaming Blue Murder" took the plunge and bought a 6 string a couple of months later, then asked the shop to take all the frets out. "Are you sure" they replied !!

First, let me tell you all that those basses are really sweet, i can't wait to own a fretless.
For Suburban, can you give me(us) the full specs on that bass you showed?
I normally have never liked light colored wood on fretboard or on the whole bbass, but i have a rare atraction to your bass, it just ....i want to play it!
Also, is it a lightwave or a custom? who build it?

Here is my 74 Fender Jazz. It's been defretted, had some Bart's installed and has a Badass bridge.

I've seen Marco play his 6-string fretless Fernandes several times. He has even shaved-off the back of the bass so it could be lighter.
This just in- a visit to Lakland last week yields the owners personal Jerry Scheff Signature USA fretless. I'm callin' him tigger for obvious reasons. But the most beautiful part is the neck-no words to describe the feel. Excuse me, I've got to go play it again...
Sounds even better than it looks, although my fingers aren't quite up to dealing with roundwounds so I have to put up with flats. I love my Stingray but it doesn't quite stop my GAS (I feel so dirty...), if I could afford it I'd have a fretless GB too. Maybe one day, but I don't really feel too hard done by.
