The original for me.

1963 P, owned since 1967, repainted about 1970, a couple years later the truss rod broke and I had to replace the neck for a gig. Unchanged since 1972, every screw, wire and piece of hardware original. Flatwound strings installed about 1972 and never changed.

If you can't funk with this, you ain't funkin' at all.

Man, I have always wanted a “forever bass”. A P Bass with flats that I had for decades showing all of its playing and stories along the way… This thread (and posts like this) aren’t helping. She’s a beauty.

A Fullerton would be a '57 or a '62 reissue. Rosewood board, yours should be a '62.
Maybe I can finally put this mystery to rest. Did the 62 come with a gold ano PG? This one had it when I bought it from an old codger that said it was on it when he bought it new but I've never seen one with the ano PG. It also has the proverbial Fullerton bump in the lower cutaway. Do the 62's have that bump? Serial Number is V016XXX.

I think both have the bump. I know the Jazz reissue has it.

The '57s came with the gold guard, the '62s came with tort. But 57s had maple boards and the 62s were rosewood.

So I have no idea what's going on! :)

If you can post some pics here Fender Fullerton Reissue club | TalkBass.com , there are cats in there that should be able to help nail it down.
