"That '70s Jazz Bass"
- One part Classic '70s Jazz body.
- One part Squier VM neck.
- One part Fender Custom Shop '60s pickups.
- A dash of random hardware.
- Top off with a Series/Parallel wiring harness.
- Add Funk to taste.
They didn’t make anodized pickguards at that time. But there were a couple fairly expensive partially vintage correct after market options after about 2003, then Fender came (back) out with their more accurate anodized pickguards a few years later but the exact date is fuzzy
I named her "Missy," for Melissa 'The Missile' Giove. Usually wears a foam mute by the bridge.

That is a crazy looking neck. How thin is that!?
Neck width at 12th fret 56.0mm (2.20") Neck depth at 12th fret 22mm (0.86")
With a delicious Satin finish
This system is called Bendwell. The end of the bass before the bendwell acts as a zero fret if you like but this has small bearings so that the strings can freely move when pressure applied. The bendwell allows you to gently push down on the strings to create various vibrato effects depending on how much pressure/speed you put on them. It’s really cool…

It has definitely lived a life. She plays like butter though. Definitely a lifer-bass. ThanksAwesome bass!!! 63 is my birth year…. Now I know what my body would actually look like, if our skin didn’t heal!
