It's nothing fancy, but here is my 2002 Fender mexi P Bass special with a jazz neck and Labella DTFs. Warm, thumpy goodness especially through an Ampeg. I've had this bass 20 years and even though it's not my main bass these days, picking it up and playing it feels like visiting an old friend.

As far as a foam mute goes, it's not in the photo but I raided my kids' art supplies and took some colorful fuzzy balls. I stick one between the E and A strings and another between the D and G strings at the bridge. They fit perfectly and as an added bonus, it looks like a Muppet's nutsack.
