Show your Gold hardware Basses

It took me quite a while to find gold MR2 monorail saddles for my BTB676.
But persistence paid off.
I then proceeded to switch out the tuners with gold Hipshot y-keys.

I wonder if there is a way to get chrome hardware dipped in gold. Anyone ever heard of this or had it done?
All of my basses have gold hardware except for one. It’s a short scale that isn’t offered with gold hardware.
I remember seeing a liquid that you could wipe onto metal components that would deposit pure gold. I can't remember if it required an electrical circuit to make the plating happen? Pure gold may need a lacquer coat to protect it.
In the meantime maybe wearing these might help...
