I've posted this before, but it's the only photo I have right now.

Good bass, very much at the "clang and clank" end of the spectrum. The tripod bridge can be frustrating, but I think it's design may have something to do with the extremely bright natural sound (yes, it can thump, too). Neck is a bit rounder than modern types, but being a set-neck means that it is quite comfortable at the dusty end.

I recently picked up this beautiful Guild B-302-SP. I had never seen this model before so I just had to ..... It's in really great shape (just missing one tone knob) and due to the two different pickups offers quite a wide range of sounds.

I had a friend who owned one of these with EMG P-Js--I thought the pickups balanced the mahogany's midrange very well. Distinctive tone, lots of fun to play.

My second bass was a blue Guild Pilot with EMGs. It was sleek & light but kind of lacking in the tone department. A friend's brother had a black Pilot with DiMarzios that had a much fatter tone.

The only electric guitar I have is a Guild S-60-D--same body style as the B-302. Very comfortable with a warm but cutting tone, better balance than the basses due to the shorter neck.

Zombie thread resurrection... I had a Guild B301 for a while, but I sold it. It was the walnut finish, and had the best neck I think I've ever played. My problem with it was that the tone of the single pickup didn't fit well under the other instruments in my band. I want to get the 302 instead, but I've now noticed the SB202. I know they are the same pickups, with a slightly simplified control system. I wonder, though, are the pickups of the SB202 in the same positions as the B302?
