Well I'm starting bass in like a few days time...but I really shouldn't start off with a 5-string right? Wouldn't I get messed up when I try to switch back to a 4-string or something?
But if I did play bass, I could play 5-string, buy that bass, and still have enough money left over for a nice amp....I wonder...
Question is if I'll be fine starting off with a 5-string.

Well I certainly missed that huge bit of info in your intro story. 
And you had no problem playing a 4-string either? Loads of bassists switch from 4 to 5, and I'd like to be able to do too. 6, if I could manage all three, lol.

Well, I got my first 4 string some weeks ago (niiiiice piece, I think I still have GAS on that too, Link Removed ), and tomorrow I will fetch it from the luthier who has modded it for BEAD tuning with .130 B string etc. I simply missed the B since I now am used to it and play in positions up above the 5th fret most of the time, the G-string I don't think I will miss a lot so far.

Ugh, but this might be my first (or last) chance to get a Lakland for that price (to me it's a good deal) however I'll go past my 1600 USD budget. By 200 USD.
What's the average price for a Lakland Skyline Jerry Scheff? 2000 USD or above right?
I'll be going over my budget because of the amp. I saw this Gallien-Krueger MicroBass Combo Amp and it's 699 USD and so much lighter than the other amps. Weight is one issue for me, so I thought I'd do some calculating, sum up the Lakland and the amp...ugh, 200 USD over, and I didn't include shipping and tax.
Well my digital piano is 1800 USD and my budget for that was only 1200, but I don't know why, but my parents had PAS (piano aquisition syndrome lol) and had to buy the more expensive one.
Lame excuse or no?

Tuning is not different, but the B-string is gone... hehe.
I have no idea about the prices you talk about there, but if you have the cash, go get something you like!

Oh right, erm, you live in Europe correct? I remember you talking about euros before, not American dollars. And I don't know how many euros are in a dollar.
Get something I like also means I have to talk to my parents before I get something I like. They might disapprove. You know, I've been lucky so far to get them to agree on starting bass guitar. They're sort of against it, unfortunately. They're more piano lovers.
The one I gassed for last week... the one I have this week and ...no more gassing...SWEET...Peace...DAcat 
mine would be a bongo 6 in stealth black (to match my fiver of course). no picture available to my knowledge (probably a good thing for my finances...)
