I happen to have a Lado Lazer that was made for John Albani, and appears in the video for Sex With Love. I also have the huge Clydesdale flight case with "LEE AARON" stenciled on the side.

Gorgeous. Looking at the wear around the pickups, that's the original finish? I have a Medallion project that's been sitting for years.
I have 2 Lado basses . This luthier is as good as Ken Smith and Fodera. It’s a pity he’s not more famous . The 4 string now has a 3 band MEC preamp especially designed for Active Pickups (like this killer and RARE active Duncan’s with 3 switches )The one in the middle is the " Stanley Clarke " model .

I came across this bass about 30 years ago, and it has been my absolute favorite ever since. I’ve tried adding other basses to my collection over the years, but none have come close to this one — it’s just incredible to play.
I bought it from a friend who had been visiting Canada, and I paid about 400 CAD for it at the time. On the back of the headstock it says “LADO CDN SF2 1226.”
Unfortunately, I don’t know much about it — the year it was made, or its current value. I’m not planning to sell it, but I’d love to learn more about its history and any details you might have about this particular model.
