In 1981, I was looking for this bass, but ended up buying the solo 2 model...Lo-and-behold, 28 years later, I found it! Spotless! Woo-Hoo!!
here is my lado

80s Zebra custom. Someone should start a Lado club.
I still want to see a pic of a headless Lado! Love to have one just for kicks 'n giggles.

Hello Krall and svtbass,Here's mine..I've had it for the past 15 years or so..I was told many years ago that it was made in 1977, but i'm not sure. I don't know the model name either. Stamped on back of headstock: CDN R-2-112
I realize you'd asked this question some time ago, but considering how rare they are I'm not surprised one hasn't shown up yet (I talked to Joe about them last year, he said he made 12, and he has the parts for one last one in a box waiting until he retires).
Here you go ...

I've owned a couple of other lados over the years, my first was a Zebra custom, but it was stolen
I bought the headless and a 5-string Lado with the insurance cheque since he didn't have any Zebras available at the time ... the 5-string was sold a few years back, but I've held onto the headless - it weighs a ton, but sounds awesome.
This is almost my exact bass, here are some crappy pics I took with my phone.
