Hey nice Jazz bass up there!

Mine is actually "Ocean Tortoise", as listed on the Japan Fender list of finishes. If there's a difference between that and Ocean Turquoise, I can't tell.

It started life as Fender Japan's version of a '62 RI, but a previous owner installed an Audere 4-band. I'm ditching the Audere and restoring it to its original passive setup (including brass ground strap), but with a stacked knob setup instead of the original 3-knob dealio.

Kinda hard to get an accurate pic of the color. It has a tendency to come out looking more like LPB sometimes.

The first photo is more accurate. Ocean Turquoise? More like Powder Blue Pearl.

This one is pretty green or blue depending on the light. Kinda weird. 90's ibanez. And my phone pics aren't exactly clear.

Used to own this jazz bass. The color was the only reason I bought it. Swapped the pickguard out for an aged pearl.

This is my '59 P-Bass. The original color was a custom color LPB, that was in horrible condition when I got it in the mid 70s. I did a clear thick poly finish on it that lasted until this partial restoration was done. I was aiming for a deep OT finish, toi match the color in the recesses. Unfortunately the color faded to a bluish silver after a few years. There were other things as well, so it went through a total full pro restoration by Ben Lindsey a while ago (time gets away these days haha) and it is now Fiesta Red. There's a thread on the bass.

Fender only offered OT as an option between '65 and '71. That wonderful '65 precision surfaced few years ago in the classified section but wont be forgotten anytime soon:

In high school (mid-1990's) I wanted a Fender Jazz Bass in OT in the worst way. These pictures are making me want to go pick one up to satisfy some nostalgia. drool

I can be added to the club...I just bought a 1989 Fender 62RI Jazz in the original Ocean Turquoise nitro finish . I don't know how many OT 62 RI basses are out there, but there can't be many.

Didn't realize how much you're '59 looks like my '89. Cool!

This is a parts bass that I built a while back that is pretty close to Ocean Turquoise. It turned out way better than I had hoped. It's a bit odd, but I absolutely love it.
