Show your Pedaltrain juniors!!!

Here's my latest incarnation.
Finsihed putting it together last night.
Almost everything has changed except for the Dunlop Brick powering it and the Diamond compressor.

Cool board, but I am just curious how you use both the Groove Regulator and the robotalk, both would fit an filter tone right?

I recently obtained both the filter pedals and they have replaced the MXR bass Auto Q and Dunlop 105Q wah that I had been using for years. The two filters are quite different in their tone. I have a thread going comparing the two as they are both fairly new products. The Robotalk2 is really new and there hasn't been a lot of info for it as relates to bass players.

I could probably go with one or the other but right now, I am really enjoying having different filter settings that all sound fantastic.

Zippydog, I love your setup. How are you using the blender?

Not very well so far...still figuring it out :smug:

I just got the whole thing strung together last night and gigged it for a huge outdoor church service this morning.

Had the X-Blender for about a week now - its a way cool pedal. I got it because I favor my clean sound vs. heavily effected and the Blender lets me dial in a wet/dry mix to taste. I particularly like it with the chorus and phase. I got the Sansamp Bass VT yesterday and have only begun experimenting with that, but have found that the VT and Blender play really well together to lay in just the right amount of VT goodness for my taste.

I have the compressor outside the Blender's loop and first in the chain after the tuner. The Bass VT, phase and chorus are in the Blender's loop (in that order),

Takes a bit of work to be sure gain structure is evened out...still working that part, but will dial it in in time. Feels like I lose a bit of gain around 12:00 on the blender as I hit about 50/50 wet/dry...but that's practicing under headphones, so I really need more time with it live to best understand what I'm getting.

Saw your post elsewhere on Diamond pedals. The chorus and phase are new to me but they replaced first rate equivalents from other manufacturers. The compressor is by far my favorite compressor! Wish they'd get that bass version shipping!!!!

Very cool. I am also lusting over the bass version of the comp but don't have any complaints with the original version. Even when using an active 5 string at 9 volts I have no issues at all.

I have got to try the Diamond Phase soon. Its calling me!

Yes, with my (very) active Bongo 5-ers, I don't have any beef with the original compressor either - I'd take it over any other compressor I've used. Just want that last bit of bottom that I can't squeeze out with the tilt EQ.

Keep an eye on ebay for that Diamond Phase - I got a smokin' deal there a couple weeks back. Sweet pedal - it sent my Maxon 9 PRO+ series packin'.

Ah, cool, I just say your thread. Thanks!

Very nice. How do you like the BB pedal? I have been contemplating replacing my Fulltone Bassdrive with one in order to preserve pedalboard space. I have heard they sound similar and wondering if its worth the "upgrade".

thank you!:)

oh my trusty ol' BB? how many times i tried to replace it, but no pedal can take its place at the moment. its small but its loud and proud!:D

i've tried and compared it side by side with different OD pedals like Barbers (all the versions including a custom one), Polish Love, Bassdrive and recently an OCD. the BB is the most versatile and i really prefer the type of OD this small pedal produces. it can do low gain and high gain as well, plus it has a treble and bass knob to suit your tone needs. and its small!!!

for me, the BB sounds better than the Bassdrive, and i had a Bassdrive before. so its worth the upgrade!:D

but of course, YMMV.

a lot has changed for the past one month with my set up. from PT Mini to PT Jr, added some great pedals (IMHO) such as the MXR Bass Octave Deluxe, MXR Carbon Copy, Turbo Tuner and the Octavius Squeezer. damn love that pedal!:bassist:

and after some search and luckily we have it here for me to try, i got the Digitech Hardwire CR-7 Stereo Chorus.

when i got contented with my set up last year, i went on a hiatus from TB, and i guess i am on the way again for another one. this set up for me is my masterpiece to date. take note, "for me".;)

all my knowledge i learned here at TB and all my experience from last year's pedals galore has ended up with this set up. and i am very happy with it and its very useful for me as a wrorking musician. maybe someday i will make a bigger board just for fun. but for now, my PT Jr is very handy for me.

so here it is:
