Anyone still following this thread?! I recently had a mirror pickguard made for my black Lakland Geezer Butler. It was cool (very Phil Lynott-esque), but I decided to go extreme. I thought back to the matte hot pink on my old Dingwall I sold, and contacted Marty Bell. He had a neon pink that turned out killer. Photos do not do it justice. I'm loving it.
Peavey made the best possible pink bass ever in 1984.

Not a fan of pink, but that's the way to do it! Would look incredible in matte/satin.
I'd never seen this thread before. Pity as I really love some of the pink basses here, but like the brighter rather than the pale versions. I've been joking for ages that I'm going to have my tiny SS Samick painted magenta from it's current black. I'm moving soon and near my new home is a guy who's doing a mural for me (music related) and I think I'll ask him to do the Samick as well.
My avatar is my fave car, a 78 Torana A9X hatchback (about the size of a Chevy Nova). This was the homologation version of the generic street car, However, the model before this was smaller and codenamed the XU1. The reason I mention this as it came in, for the early/mid 70's a daring colour called "Strike Me Pink" and it was my favourite colour in the range the first time I saw it, which got me a lot of grief at school (but I'm Irish, I know how to fight). The name is old Aussie slang (sort of a polite version of) "I'll be damned". Here's a random I found searching; they're big $ these days.
The best I've seen in this thread though, has to be carlis' Lakland.
Honourable mentions to your SR in post 1 and the Jaydee in the video. I know nothing about them, so I guess it's a SS?
