Cool, yeah someone here at work turned me on to them.

I just notice that blue foot Controller/pedal that is on top of Chris Wolstenholmes is just like the one that a cat I play with uses... It is called "Access Pass" or something like that... it is a loopers dream from what I remember. Anybody know more about them?

How is that MPX G2 working for you ???
It the most adjustable effects processor i've ever used, it makes line 6's look like a joke. The amp models are really cool, the room models sound really good, and the copy effects are really nice, they make you sound the same as the song its titled after. Its a great solution for having maybe 10 pedals that you'd get each for 75 bucks or more. The only thing i wish it had is the diversity of reverb, plates, and chambers that a lexicon mpx-1 has. but thats solveable buy getting a mpx-1 :D .

Its enough for me i've only been playing for 2 years, i'm 19, i dont play live, and most of my stuff is solo work with a looping pedal that runs in my amps effects loop. you can hear me playing with it @ :bassist: :

Eric618: Ever thought of replacing the maximizer and alesis for a maxcom and free up a space?

I swapped it in place of a samson s-com plus and it's just as musical and transparent. They claim the maximizer in it is the same chip in the 882 and such.

I like everything tidy and efficient I guess :) I wouldn't rest until I had that half space tuner! Took forever to find one. A bigger rack wasn't a consideration, I enjoy the wheels and handle too much, and that's the biggest SKB makes in that style.

Sweet rack AlembicPlayer!

What are those small red and blue boxes on the back? DI-boxes?

thanks man!..I just put in the sliding shelf last night. Wired everything up with GeorgeL's .225 red.
yep, the red box is a..(heh heh) H&K redbox DI for the high signal, and the blue one is a GRM passive DI for the low signal.

I've ordered a looper pedal for the FX chain.

Nice rack AlembicPlayer, what do you think about the H&K redbox DI? Have you ever tried a Radial J48? If so, how does it compare... I'm about to pick up a new DI for some studio work coming up... Decisions.

Hi j-raj..thanks! The gear is old but it works :)
I have not tried the Radial..but have read nothing but good things about it. All the Radial products seem real nice. The H&K Redbox..funny thing about that box...the first one was given to me by a friend to use for one of the guitar players in the band. He liked it so much..he got his own, then I picked up a couple more off eBay for under 50 bucks each...never intending to use them with the bass..but one day I tried it and the cab simulation was really nice for the top end of my system, so I've been using it since. I'm sure there are better DI's for bass...but this works for me. For the money they are worth a try. If you get the Radial..post a review!

Thanks man, I'm thinking of picking up a Radial... At the price they go for, if it isn't my bag, I can just pop it up on eBay.

I'll review it if I can... I'm usually not a great reviewer, I just thinks to me-self, umm good or umm bad.

hey guys and gals...for those of you rack mounting pedals into a switchign system, what length cables did you use. i just rackmounted all my stuff and i used 3 ft'ers throughout and some of it still seems tight. given i really dont need to pull out the shelves, once i get my setting in place. but it would be nice to have the flexability. when i get a chance ill post some pictures.

I only had this setup for about 3 days, because I sold the POD to finance some other gear. I don't have the amp any more either. I don't think I have a pic of my current rack. I'll have to take one. It's a Genz Benz 4-space with a GBE600 in it and a couple of half-rack space units (Boss ROD-10 overdrive, Rocktron ProRax CRS Chorus)
