Bought the head with the matching cab; it was horrible and I was able to sell it for more than the entire rig cost. Like this better.

Never seen one of the matching cabs for this next head. Humans who have heard this rig tell me it sounds good.

Total Mix up? But pure clarity of sound.
Pre-Amp is a Yamaha PB-1 (with High and Low crossover setting) , Amp is a Crown XLi1500 run stereo (as in High and Low), into a 15" JBL K140 for 'low' and a 12" E-Tone and Piezo as 'high'.
Sound is huge with total clarity, Rock, Slap, Fretless sing, 5-String B's, twiddly tops all right where you need them.
That is a Yamaha BB5000A hanging on the side and a 1976 P-Bass looking at ya'

Well no that is there because I also use my orange micro terror guitar amp with that cab. Sounds better than the two 8" orange cabs to me. I don't have a bigger guitar amp.

I did use it with my bass a couple of times yes, and it sounds just fine. Indeed I use "guitar" effects with my bass - compressor and distortion that are not specifically bass versions. I've also tried my ce2 chorus which sounds great with the bass.

Honestly I think all the bass specific stuff has its place but is hardly essential, they're all basically the same with a couple of bigger capacitors for lower frequency handling, except the EQs which have a lower selection of bands.

The difference between my me70 and the bass equivalents (I believe they only make an me20 and me50 for bass) is they have more bass specific effects such as synth sounds. I also find the me70s tuner struggles with my E string so would probably ignore a low B. Additionally the frequency centres for some things are different, so for example I have to turn the tone knobs left of centre to make a bass friendly sound. The me70 has COSM amp modelling too which the bass ones don't.

Also I own this already so why buy another when I'm happy with it.

There are 13,5" - speakers I have seen in old cabs from Solton / Craaft, a german brand. It was a 2 x 13,5" - cab.

We discussed a new speaker of this size, but I can't remember the name of the brand. It was woofer that some members of my german bassmen - community wanted to check out because of its size, power and TS - parameter. Two of them should be able to outrun a modern 215", if mounted in a good enclosure.

For myself, I started in profi business with two huge towers, each a 215" (TL 606) and a replica of the Music Man 212 - cabs., fired up with a GK 800 RB each. Heavy rig, heavy times, it had to "fight" together with two gitarrists, each of them with two Marshall Full Stacks.

Later I mixed a SWR Redhead with a custon built, sealed 410". The 410" gave the rig the mids I was missing from my SWR Redhead.

As the Redhead went up in smoke during a tour, I purchased a Marshall MB 4410 - Combo. I had to get a new amp fast, it was the only available in the whole town. This massive 410" - Combo got paired with the sealed 410" during that tour, than with a SWR 212" Workingman I purchased for cheap. It soundet that brilliant, I recommendet a long time the Marshall MB 450 h for beginners and players with small budget. A complete underrated amp.

not at all. Again you misrepresent the mixing police. I have as motley a rIg as any in this thread but I always recommend matched cabs after testing mine biamped and gaining mid clarity.
