Show your Roscoe Becks (4's & 5's)

Okay..here's mine. Honeyburst/maple, brand new!

I used to own RBV's in my previous life, but the neck width caused wrist issues for me and I always wanted the RB in a four; that would be my perfect bass.

And now I have one! :hyper:

psst. up here!

Still lovin' mine after 2 years, currently sporting TI flats; smokin' versatile bass for the $'s. I'm considering building a med sale RBV that is semi hollow, but I need to complete my eub project first. Also, check out the Stevens guitar web site..........the "Slant 5" model looks kinda familiar.;)

I have a 2005 and 1998 rb5 in sunburst and shorline gold,i just traded my pbass for a rb4,great basses, here is a pic of me and Roscoe Beck,i look bad, but i had a really long day,Roscoe can play some serious walking bass lines.

I still have the 'burst one, I sold the green one to a friend.

I like the burst and the shoreline gold best of the fives and the jury is still out for the fours. (That's because I have not had a chance to play one yet.) The burst with tort is Fender's trademark to me, but I really don't know who started that combination.

Are your necks the same dimensions? Mine are slightly different but I wish they were all the exact same.

The 98 is a bit more chunkier, the 2005 is a bit more assymetrical,
and not as chunky.

Finally got down to making some photos. Here's mine, along woth the others. I even replaced the plastic 'grip' on the pickup selector switch (which I love, by the way) to a white one.

Here's me with a custom roscoe beck IV. It's not mine, it belongs to the amazing bass player to the left of me, Joey Canaday. It has bartolini pickups in it, aguilar preamp, and has gotten a relic treatment from a pro in nashville, I dont know who though. Sweet bass though, sounds amazing in the mix!

That looks pretty neat. I thought about customizing a few times and that looks like the way to go. However, I'm gonna keep everything the way they came for now with mine. I use a Sadowsky pre-amp when I need to boost it up a little bit.
