I wish the Euro series came in either flame or quilted maple tops, or you could order specifically flame or quilted, not just "figured" and hoping you get a good one.

Actually, I've just realised that this is an old picture. The Rex now has faux-Spector 'crown' abalone inlays as well...

Hey Spector fans, got a few questions.
A guy recently offered as a trade for my Ibanez SR506 a Spector Rebop 5. Firstly, is this a good deal? I'm a Spector n00b, I just know the tone (Rex Brown in particular, also the amazing growly tone Mike Kroeger gets on the last Nickelback album) and the looks are awesome.
Secondly, and it's really a deal breaker for me... what's the string spacing on the 5's?

I dont recall the string spacing on my old 5'er but it had a B string to die for, low and snarly. If it's a neck through euro its a no brainer.
However I would take either one of my Rebop bolt-on's over a any Ibanez until you get into the Prestege series. Even then its a cosmetic thing for me because I cant stand necks pencil thin.

As far as I know it's a bolt on Rebop.

And another question, are the Euro ReBops only available in two colors? The Ultra Amber and Black Cherry? Those are the only ones I've seen.
Finally got my new baby picture worthy. Last week I won this Euro off of ebay for just $636 shipped. I think this could easily go in the "best deal you ever got" thread because the price I paid was almost criminal for this instrument.
I'm not sure the person knew what she had here and priced it low because the knobs were missing, a string was missing, the other strings were nasty dirty, and the whole thing was dusty and full of fingerprints. Well I cleaned her up and put on some shiny new gold knobs and a fresh set of Spector strings. I have a NS2000 and Legend, but wow, I now know what you guys mean by the "Spector growl"!

There are always good deals on Spectors! I am very happy they dont hold their value because I have three and got them all for less than the price of one new.
