Aggghh this thread is killing me. I ordered a Legend 4 from musiciansfriend and it's been on backorder since the beginning of July. I guess im going to have to go back to guitar center for the 10th time and spend another hour playing the Legend 4 they have there. :D

Stock photo, but pretty dang close to mine.

Used to have an '02 NS4CRFM, natural flamed (GAWD an incredible bass!) and an '02 NS5CRFM, amberburst (STILL miss that dang bass!)

Love 'dem Spectors... ;)
But, a Mod Q5 (greenburst!) and Mod Flea 4, Skjold fretless 6 come first... THEN USA NS5LX, spalted maple... Wow!

Right - at the moment I can't post pics........but have a REX2000/5 in Holoflash, and an NS5CR in Blueburst - both of which now run on 18 volts. I adore them!

I've also had :-

2 SSD NS5CR basses in High gloss black;
1 SSD NS4CR bass in High Gloss Red;
1 REX2000/4 I Holoflash;
1 2000/4 with Quilted Maple and Amberburst finish.

Got a bit of a thing going for Spectors......and doubt that I'm finished yet! :bassist:

Thanks! I'm a total klutz at picture posting, but this one should be a little better. Mostly, I need to be able to take better pictures, in better light. In real life, it's truly gorgeous --- black with green overtones that really pick up on the abolone inlays. Sounds killer!

Never posted a picture before so I'll try it as an attatchment. Not nearly as fancy as some others, but there it is. I have no earthly idea as to when it was made. It appears to be older but in good shape. The serial number is 1892, and the fretboard has dots instead of the large block inlays the newer ones have. Anyone know when mine might date back? Also thinking about dropping an aguilar OBP3 in it. Anybody have experience with this?

I've looked at your site in the past and you have a truly awesome collection of Spectors.

My story is that I had a euro five neck-though on loan from a friend for a few weeks a year or so ago and fell in love with it. But I play mostly sixes these days, and when an unusual set of circumstances enabled me order the NS6XL, I gulped and went for it. Very glad I did. I'm in love all over again since it arrived a couple of weeks ago. It is a work of art, and a really wonderful souding bass. It's my first Spector (first neck-through, for that matter) and I think, as you say on your site, that it's likely to make me a different and better player.

One of my goals this year is to put together a music site with some info and pix of my basses. I've got a few other sweet ones. In the meantime, apologies again for the crappy picture.

josh man those are some killer spectors. just curious as to why you dont seem to have a USA nt or bolt on?
there isnt a great deal of price difference between the USA bolt ons and the euros so just curious. also i guess if you sold a couple of your euros you would be able to get a USA NT. or do you not consider them to be worth the cash?
i have a legend5 at the mo which i am in the process of upgrading to a NS5-CRFM without actually having played one - but your website makes me think i am doing the right thing!!!
