YOU HAVE EXCELLENT TASTE!

Do you find the output to be lower from the Legend than from your other basses?

Yeah actually I have. My Charvel (from past experiences) has what I'd consider to be a medium-output type of bass, but when I plug in the Spector and then switch to that, it's crazy loud! But I haven't even changed the battery in mine yet, but I doubt that's much of the problem. All the Spectors I've had in the past were way hot, so I donno what the deal is. ??

Yeah, every Spector I've tried in the past has been very hot also. I don't mind the lower output, but it does make it difficult to balance the levels when switching basses. I've been thinking about upgrading the pre in the Legend. It is decent, but it doesn't seem to have enough range of adjustment. I'm still fiddling with it, though. I love the basic sound of the J-pup, though!

I upgraded the pups and pre in my Legend-6 to what's in the Euro's (DC's and TonePump). It totally rocks now and I don't have to change all my settings when switching basses.

Spector NS-2A

Bought from forumite. Upgraded with active EMG PJ pickups and Spector Tone Pump pre-amp.

Very nice bass, but has some issues.

Truss rod seems to be stuck and it really needs pro setup - I'm going with the bass to Neuser shop tomorow or next week...

Edit: treble boots repaired! :hyper: The pot contacts were touching the shielding paint in the cavity. :eyebrow:

Finally broke out the DigiCam to get some new shots. I lost all my old ones.
