3 days ago I took my dear Lilla to the vet ER. She suffers from cronic cough because of Cushing syndrome, among other problems, but something was off. She didn't look particularly sick but I noticed something different in her eyes and behavior so I decided to go. She was about to die basically, despite her usual joy, and they saved their life. She needed oxygen therapy (think Covid patients) and luckily it worked. She's still a 16/17 years old looked after neighborhood dog who always wanted to live free in the streets. Actually, it's just one street, she never leaved that place. It's her house. She will be released tomorrow but she has a lot of issues and can't go back in her street at the moment, so I'll take her with me for a week. I called my boss and I said I can't go to work for a week, period. Honestly, I don't care. I must stay with her. She will be reunited with her son Tito, wich you've seen in this thread several times. My other dog Boston loves her so I hope everything will be ok at home.
I just hope to see her live a decent life for a little longer, without any suffering. On the other side, I'm 100% ready for the other scenario if she struggles too much.

The vet called me and told me that she's ready to be dismissed. I will pick her up tomorrow afternoon! Better to wait another day, I'll arrange everything later today and prepare all the good stuff for the old lady.
