I love standards. I had a champion blue/grey back in the 80s. Loved him. And, yes, I had to spell some words around him. Until he learned what I was spelling.

Oh yes, a standard is very intelligent. Heard tell poodles are very choosy about who they bond with, and when they do the bond is very deep. This strikes me as true.

Nice looking K-9. Libby's gray hair gives him/her a more sophisticated look.
That said, I have to hold the container when my dog licks the yogurt container. He still has not figured out how to hold it on his own.

'Fession...I'm not a dog owner (allergies, city living), but I do love the little fuzzbutts, so I lurk...and you all have adorable fur-kids.
Maybe I can contribute more in my new home...moving in with my brother, he and the missus have a Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog/boxer?pit? mix named Titus, he is a major screwball...a sample...
(and as far as the allergies, my living quarters will be in an area I can keep him out of...my dog allergy is contact-based...I can pet them all I like but have to wash hands IMMEDIATELY after or I get a nice mess of hives. )

New Dog Day. On our way home from the dog rescue shelter six years ago this month. Here, he is about 14 months old and has an abused history. The shelter got him physically healthy again but he had some Deep mental scars. He was extremely afraid of men and would even grow at male strangers.. Today, after years of socializing him with others, he has turned into a very trusting dog. That said, once in a while he will meet someone who he does not want anything to do with but that is rare. He has also become the most affectionate dog I have ever had.
