After having Major for over 5 years, I'm just now finding out how much he likes the sun.
I came out of the kitchen and he was dozing in this morning sunshine spot.
I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful dog that gives me joy every day!

Looks like a great place to start your day. Ours like to lay in the sun on the grass in the yard in the summer. We don't get a lot of direct sun like that in the house.

Odie loves the sun as well! We open the shade on the front window for him before we leave for the day. He's a happy puppy.

Well, due to circumstances, my son's pittie that I've posted a few times here before is now MY dog. My son's lease was up, and he moved in with his fiance, and unfortunately, she is deathly allergic to the dog. Despite my wife and I being in our 60s and not wanting such a large and powerful dog, there was no way I was going to let him go to a complete stranger. I couldn't bear the thought of the possibility of him not being loved and cared for, or not given the tons of attention and affection that he gets from us, so we now have him. The sacrifices we make for our furry friends. <sigh>

p.s. - I want to be in Phoenix and not in the wind chill capital of the world. We love our annual trips there in winter.

Sabrina, 14.5 years old. Keep her in your good thoughts.
Her pancreatitis numbers are off the charts and her kidneys seem to be heading south fast. Weirdly, the main thing to do for pancreatitis is a low fat diet, and her numbers have skyrocketed even faster since she's been on the low fat diet.
Despite that she's in a good mood most of the time. Her numbers show her as much sicker than her behavior.
Giving her lots of love and attention, and working with our vet to figure out a course of action.
