You just don't fully appreciate dogs until/unless you have one. I wasn't a dog person (56 years) until my kids and wife wanted one during the pandemic. We've had Lilo almost 2 years now, and I can appreciate all these posts. We snuggled in bed last night. She laid right against me and licked my face (beard really) for like 10 minutes, then laid her head down on my armpit and fell asleep for like 30 minutes. She's an 80 pound lap/snuggle dog.

Yup. My three dogs all sleep in the bed with me. One always under the covers. One either under the covers or tucked under my chin. The other curled up at the foot of the bed (he likes his space) until the others settle down, then he curls up next to my legs.

Maui at 4 weeks. We get him at 12 after 3 weeks of puppy boot camp. He is a miniature Golden. Should be 35 to 55 lbs full grown. Damn but he's cute! Soon to be spoiled. Our 8.5 yr old Golden Kona loves small dogs and puppies. Kona was a rescue and in spite of being a 70 lb moose mutt, he's fairly submissive. Very well socialized. He is going to be over the moon with a playmate.
