After a nice long run through the woods this morning, we stopped by a local cafe for Ameriške palačinke (American pancakes). Hamish was disappointed because at home he usually gets a pancake, but these had Nutella on them, so he just got some dog biscuits instead. I tried to explain to him the difference between the Canadian pancakes he gets at home, which don't have chocolate on them, and these, but he didn't believe me.

So you know, most Americans put just butter and maple syrup on their pancakes. That hot mess you have there looks like it was made by an IHOP restaurant. :rollno:

Whenever I see those IHOP commercials for the pancake stacks with the overdone sugary toppings, I think, "That'd make a nice dessert for about 4 people, but there's no way I eat that as a meal!"
