Patti had her first visit to the vet Friday. The place was recommended by friends, and it was great--very clean, and everyone was friendly and thorough. We knew she had heartworms, a kennel cough, and tapeworms in her stool, and we came away feeling good about the treatment plans. She may be getting over the latter two conditions already thanks to the meds. No other issues have cropped up unless something shows up in her bloodwork (they tested her for heartworms too, just to be sure). Patti handled it very well, she was chill the whole time.
Saturday we got our first visitors (my brother-in-law and his girlfriend) to the house since we got her. Patti apparently is very defensive of the house, as she barked and growled at them pretty frequently--whereas she's totally fine with strangers when we're out and about, like on the Starbucks patio. Oh well, maybe she'll mellow on this front; she's only been here less than two weeks.
Here she is snoozing on the couch Sunday next to me after the "invaders" left.
