My dog Lily (on the right) with her neighborhood friend Maddie. Maddie is so sweet, and was the inspiration for us to get Lily. Maddie's getting old (9 or 10). Lily will be 5 in September.

Dogs and beaches. A match made in heaven.
Even though all of the beaches here in Arcachon are signed "No dogs", people take their dogs on them daily, but mostly in the morning, before all of the sunbathers show up. The beaches are especially popular for dog walkers when the tide is out. The shoreline is easier to walk on! We also have the largest sand dune in Europe (Dune du Pyla (or Pilat)). My dogs EASILY beat me to the top.

Yeah, people here do the same, walking the dogs before the rest of the folks arrives.

Tuesday at lunch: bought some plants.
