When my daughter Eliana was born, Joshu the King of Dogs (a wonderful rescue, pictured many years earlier when he was younger) was already 13 years old. HE slept a lot. Eliana was born at home, and Joshu slept through Beth's labor. Except that he was asleep wherever Beth was during the labor. If she went to the bathroom he'd be "asleep" outside the bathroom door. When she returned to the birthing tank (waterbirth) he was asleep beside the tank. After Eliana was born (and meeting her) he changed his tactic to be "asleep" wherever Eliana was.
He was the epitome of a Very Good Boy.

Typically when my wife and I are showering Patti chills in the middle of the bed (on top of the blanket where she's supposed to be); she doesn't care to come into the bathroom. However, several times over the past week she's made a pillow fort. Which is really cute but we don't want her on the pillows or sheets. Trying to break her of the habit now.

We were on vacation last week and all 4 grand-pups were up at least part of the time.

When we bought a "maui-mat" for the water we went with an off brand in case the pups wanted to get on it and any claw damage would not be too expensive. Seems that was good forward thinking.

Mya was with us all week and took full advantage of all the perks of vacation time with the family.

Two of my three dogs sleep under the covers. The third sleeps at the foot of the bed. Sometimes when I wake up, I have that view of either Peanut or Ollie. Sometimes I have a face full of the other end. Still love them both to pieces!

I was told Mogi was probably a mix between a boxer and a pitbull.

I think there was about 7 or 8 breeds listed on the DNA test, pitbull and boxer included but I don't remember the rest. She is a rescue that was in pretty bad shape. She has extensive scarring inside her mouth indicating her muzzle had been taped or tied shut tightly and her front left leg was broken at some time when she was very young and didn't heal straight. They have a brace for her to wear to make it easier on her but after a day of activity she favors it alot. She had a sad start but is a sweetheart and is being appropriately spoiled by our daughter and son in law. Probably spoiled by all of us. They estimated her to be about 1 1/2 yrs old when they got her last fall.

This was her 2nd trip up to the cabin and the first time she wouldn't go near the lake but she is very bonded to our other daughter's pup Mya and they went in together this time.
